The Team Behind YOUnite, Inc.

Tony Siress and Mark Fitzpatrick, both industry veterans who have worked together for almost 20 years, originally founded YOUnite, Inc, as YOUservice LLC in late 2004. In November 2006, YOUservice LLC, with the support of Wilson Sonsini, formed YOUnite, Inc. YOUnite is now both the name of the company and the solution.

Tony and Mark have a long-standing relationship and have proven they can design build, deliver and sell successful companies. The two were behind the highly successful High Availability Product FirstWatch that was responsible for keeping all the systems available at the 1994 World Cup Soccer Championships. Their first venture together -- Tidalwave Technologies -- was acquired by Veritas Software in 1995 and was the #1 High Availability offering on Solaris throughout the 1990s. The eventual market cap value of Tidalwave in Veritas stock was over 500 million dollars (US).

Tony Siress has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and business development experience. He started his first company, Personal Touch, in 1985 to help people overcome the difficulties of buying and using early PCs. He also founded a company called Siress, Inc., where he focused on developing customer applications for small to mid-sized companies. Tony has held various senior sales and marketing managerial positions at companies such as Sun Microsystems, Inc., and Veritas Software. And he was a co-founder of Tidalwave Technologies, Inc., which was acquired by Veritas Software in 1995. Tony holds a B.S. in Commerce from Santa Clara University.

Mark Fitzpatrick has more than 20 years of experience in software design, architecture and systems implementation with companies such as Data General, NeXT, Sun Microsystems, Inc., Tidalwave Technologies, Inc., and Veritas Software. Mark received his B.S. in Computer Science from California State University, Chico, in 1985. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, he was hired by Data General. While working at Sun and enrolled in Santa Clara University's M.B.A. program, Tony convinced him to put all of that on hold to co-found Tidalwave Technologies, Inc, which was later sold to Veritas Software.

Tony and Mark have assembled a seasoned team of world-class engineering, marketing and business development professionals for this venture.
