YOUnite Mobile™ is a reference implementation of a mobile application which was initially targeted specifically for Java ME on Motorola Razr phones. YOUnite Mobile™ enables YOUnite® enabled services to update shared attribute and preference data on mobile devices. For example, with YOUnite Mobile™ if a friend changes their phone number and has shared that number with you, the new number would automatically be updated on your YOUnite Mobile™ enabled phone.
In addition, YOUnite Mobile™ can facilitate zero-touch restore without back functionality. A YOUnite® enabled mobile phone can automatically archive all data and changes to data. In the event of a loss of data, damage or system/device upgrade, the YOUnite® enabled device will automatically restore all data to the replacement device.
Moreover, YOUnite Mobile™ provisions clients. Once a user’s data is populated on one client (device), all new devices will re-populate, even if the first client is not available.
Another feature is an SMS alert for changes to a user’s profile. This feature can be executed even if the target consumer is not YOUnite® enabled. For example, user-A changes his or her work phone number. YOUnite Mobile™ can automatically sends an SMS to all other users’ mobile phones with whom user-A has his or her shared work number.
The YOUnite Mobile™ technology can be integrated directly into the handset giving a seamless user experience to the end-user. The combination of YOUnite Mobile™, YOUnite Community® and YOUnite Enterprise® is a complete solution for a mobile carrier such as AT&T or Vodaphone.
In addition, YOUnite®, Inc. is working on a reference implementation for the Apple iPhone which will be available in the near future.
